SOCIAL ADAPTATION OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE IN THE TRADITIONAL HOUSE TO A NEW MODERN HABIT

SOCIAL ADAPTATION OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE IN THE TRADITIONAL HOUSE TO A NEW MODERN HABIT

Living in the era of increasing technology gives either good or bad impact, the way of life in the respective indigenous community also needs to adapt. For some cases, the impact of technology is forcing them to cope with it whether they like it or not, especially who lives near a city. From this interaction, they also share the knowledge on how they construct the idea of house or even on how they adjust the modern habit to their traditional way of living. The social adaptation of traditional-modern mindset and the relation with traditional house will be an interesting topic to discuss. This international conference will mainly focus on the social adaptation of indigenous people’s mixed traditional-modern house in South East Asia.
