Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau has initiated a plan to promote medical device products made by STSP tenants in new southbound countries to facilitate medical device industrial development and strengthen trade tie with the new southbound countries. This plan assists tenants in receiving free-sale certificates, enhances exchanges with key opinion leaders (KOL) of the fields to promote our medical device products and provides grants to marketing projects for product promotion in new southbound countries.
By the end of 2018, eighteen free-sale certificates were successfully issued by six new southbound countries, including Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore and about twenty professionals were linked up with to exchange ideas on promoting medical device products in local markets. Also, a joint research center was established in University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMP) at Ho Chi Minh City and six cultivation courses were held.
Furthermore, Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau has implemented various measures to promote medical device products in new southbound countries, such as setting up offices to showcase our products for experiential marketing, participating related exhibitions, initiating one or two international clinical trial cases, attracting doctors to Taiwan for exchanges or establishing teaching centers in new southbound countries.
