I. Introduction

Establish the Medical Technology, Science & Humanity Development Center as a Southeast Asian Business Hub for Mutual Exchanges with Taiwan Academes and Industries in Bangkok: a Pragmatic Action Plan Mediating through Medical Collaborations(Stic). This three-year project will operate an Medical and Technological Humanities Development Center in Bangkok for designing extended smart living platforms fit into Southeast Asian communities, for establishing international health data preservation and sharing mechanisms with teleconference platform facilitating international partnership and for developing IT infrastructures for collaborative partners as models for translating Taiwan experiences into Southeast Asia in Bangkok. This international cooperative project will use the management model of integrating electronic medical records with medical imaging as the foundation.

2018.4.12 Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center participate in Smart Children Development Hospital transformation program

Director of the Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center (MTSHDC) Prof. Duujian Tsai has been invited by the Department of Mental Health(DMH), Thailand to join the “Smart Child Development Hospital program” collaboration meeting on April 12, 2018. MTSHDC will integrate technology team of Taiwan to join this project.

2018.2.4 Future collaboration with Bangkok Hospital

Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center (MTSHDC) has established collaboration with Bangkok Hospital. The MTSHDC will assist Bangkok Hospital to imply community care, hospice care and E-Health to Bangkok Hospital. The further collaboration will focus on implying smart technology to Psychiatric recovery center/Cancer/Hospice/ Community health/LTC/tele-care/E-Health departments, N-Health Collaboration on Supply Chains and Mandarin Clinics.

2018.3.13 Collaborations with major public and Private Universities

Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center (MTSHDC) build collaboration with major public and private universities in Thailand including Mahidol University, Chulalonglcorn University, Chiang Mai University and Rangsist University. The MTSHDC will integrate faculties in Taiwan to assist Thailand to develop Health IT program in the universities.

2018.3.15 Training program with National-Built Institute

The Department of Mental Health, Thailand introduce founder of the National-Built Institute Prof. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak to Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center (MTSHDC). The National-Built Institute invites famous speakers from USA and Europe countries and holds lots of training programs for government/hospital management leaders. MTSHDC will work together with the Naional-Built Institute to plan training program in precision medicine (including comprehensive oncology training program), living organ transplantation, information-based hospital management and community medicine, and Research and development of smart hospital.

2018.1.11 Open Ceremony of Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center

Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center at Rajanukul Institute, Bangkok, Thailand supported by the Ministry of Public Health, Thailand has been established on December of 2017. The open ceremony is held at Rajanukul Institute on January 11, 2018. Rajanukul Institute arrange music festival to celebrate the collaboration between Taiwan and Thailand. In the future, the mission of the MTSHDC: 1) Data integrating systems protect medical privacy as well as nurture doctor-patient trust; 2) Smart technologies make community care feasible, especially promoting smart hospitals with community partnership, and 3)Place Thailand as the regional hub in proposing smart technology applications as well as ethical governance framework, with collaborating centers in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, India and Malaysia.

2018.9.5-9.7 The 6th Child Development and Mental Health (CDMH) International Forum on September 5-7 in Chiang Mai

The 6th Child Development and Mental Health (CDMH) International Forum has been held at September 5-7 in Chiang Mai organized by Department of Mental Health, Thailand, The Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center(MTSHDC) and Rajanagarindra Institute of Child Development(RICD). Research team members from MTSHDC: Prof. Duujian Tsai, former Director General of Department of Mental and Oral Health Dr. Happy Tan, Dr. Neo Tzu Aun, Dr. Chin Hung Chen and Prof. Terry B.J. Kuo have presented their papers in this event.

The topics included:

1) The Role of IoT and Wearables in ADHD (Prof. Terry B.J. Kuo)

2) Share Action Model for ADHD Intervention: Taiwan ADHD Family Support Model (Dr. Chin Hung Chen)

3) Sharing Experience of Scalp Acupuncture for Child Development and Jessie Golgi Reflex Point to Relief spasticity (Dr. Neo Tzu Aun)

4) The Development of Child Mental Health in Care Taiwan (Dr. Happy Tan) The Department of Mental Health of Thailand was impressed and interested with these innovative models and will make further collaboration with our team to benefit the patients.

2018.0.1-8.3 The 17th Annual International Mental Health Conference in Bangkok, Thailand

Director of the Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center: Prof. Duujian Tsai has been invited to make presentation entitled “Technology for suicide prevention” at 17th Annual International Mental Health Conference during from August 1-3, 2018 organized by the Department of Mental Health, in Bangkok, Thailand. MTSHDC will take this opportunity to promote collaboration between Taiwan suicide prevention center with the Department of Mental Health on co-planning ASEAN Mental Health Professionals Workshop.

2018.11.13 The 19th Asian Bioethics Conference in Kaohsiung

The Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center (MTSHDC) co-organizes with Ping-Tung Christian Hospital, Open University of Kaohsiung, Kaohsiung Municipal Kai-Syuan Psychiatric Hospital, Taiwan Bioethics Association, and Social Empowerment Alliance to host 19th Asian Bioethics Conference. The participants is approximately 150 people from 14 countries including Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Tajikistan, Australia, America and Taiwan, presenting 59 oral presentations and 40 poster presentations. This year, we will plan to establish sub center in Indonesia, Vietnam and Khon Kaen, Chiangmai province, Thailand.

2019.1.18 MOU between Healthy Asia Co., Ltd. And Khanh Hoa General Hospital, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam

The Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center (MTSHDC) integrated local medical and related firms with resources, providing surgical, biomedical informatics, genetic testing and Cellular immunotherapy as well as other full-services to build Healthy Asia Co., Ltd(HCA). MTSHDC plans to establish sub-center in Vietnam, the collaboration institute including: Khanh Hoa General Hospital(KHGH), Hanoi Medical University, National Mental Health Institute and BasicNeeds Vietnam. Research team of MTSHDC visit Vietnam from January 14-18, 2019. MTSHDC fosters MOU signing between HCA with KHGH on January 18, 2019. This memorandum is aimed at enhancing understanding and goodwill; strengthening the ties of knowledge and technology as well as broadening the professional and experiential knowledge and vision of both academic / professional staffs and Trainees.

2018.6.4 Press Conference of opening KIPC Mandarin Clinic

The Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center (MTSHDC) has built sub-center at Khema International Polyclinic (KIPC), Phnom Penh, Cambodia. MTSHDC integrate medical resources from Taiwan and set up Mandarin clinic and referral center at KIPC, and officially operates externally on May 10, 2018. The press conference “Collaboration with Khema International Polyclinic” has held at June, 04, 2018 at KIPC. MTSHDC is collaborating with physicians from Taiwan Teaching Hospitals, KIPC will graduate implement comprehensive subspecialty services with ER capacities. Supported by physicians from Taiwan teaching hospital, KIPC’s subspecialty services is not only hemodialysis, but also endoscopic surgery, Orthopedic and rehabilitation care, Chinese medicine, cancer treatment, various advanced surgery and extracorporeal shock-wave lithotomy. The KIPC will provide training and consultation supports to help local clinics to develop further subspecialist services, ideally one for each.

Cooperated by Taiwan and Cambodian physicians, Phnom Penh Hemodialysis Center officially grand opens on October 1 at Khema International Polyclinic, unfolding the smart hospital planning. On Phnom Penh high-end Hemodialysis Center grand opening day, there are participation from both Taiwan and Cambodia multi-business leaders and officials, Chinese and Khmer media, especially the personal congratulatory message from Li Tong Yi from Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology in Vietnam. Taiwan-Thailand Medical Tech., Science & Humanities Development Center's Collaboration with International Business Association(IBA), Indonesia

The Rajanagarindra Institute of Child Development, Department of Mental Health, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand hold 95-hours “training course on Holistic Approach to Improving Children with Developmental Delay” in Rajanagarindra Institute of Child Development, Chiang Mai from 7th to 31st May 2019. The training is being organized under the collaboration between Department of Mental Health of Thailand, and Healthy Asia, Taiwan with the overarching goal to gain a better understanding of children with developmental delay, how to assess children with developmental delay, give appropriate intervention and make suitable referrals.

Taiwan-Thailand Medical Tech., Science & Humanities Development Center's Collaboration with International Business Association(IBA), Indonesia

Director of the Taiwan-Thailand Medical Technology, Science & Humanities Development Collaborating Center (MTSHDC) Prof. Duujian Tsai (also President of Healthy Asia Co. Ltd) lead the team to Batam, Indonesia on 6th May-9th May, 2019.  The purpose of this visit is to extend our collaboration center at Universitas Gadjah Mada(UGM) and Sarjito Hospital in Yogyakarta to this region.   Together with Buddhist Society and International Business Association(IBA), Healthy Asia Company visit local hospitals for developing collaboration opportunities, and held a press conference on 8th of May, 2019 to announce the future collaboration.  Prof. Duujian Tsai will lead the team and take major responsibilities for further collaborations. We will provide training opportunities as well as capacity building for local partner hospitals as what we have done for UGM and Sarjito Hospital in Yogyakarta.  Further collaborations with local governments or private organizations are also expected.
