India's technology giant Tata Consultancy Services visited the National Chung Cheng University and discussed with the "Taiwan-India Research Center on Artificial Intelligence" on future collaborations

Date: 2020-11-30

The Tata Group was established in 1868, with headquarters at Mumbai. Tata has more than 100 companies under the group name. Its products are being marketed in 6 continents in more than 150 countries, with manpower of more than 700K. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been in Taiwan for more than 2 decades and have been working on different software technological applications.

Upon knowing that Taiwan-India Research Center on AI was set up by the National Chung Cheng University (CCU) under the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, TCS Taiwan Branch decided to join hands with CCU and the Center. A formal visit to the CCU campus was initiated on September 28, 2020, by TCS's Country Head Karthigeyan Sethumadhavan, Taiwan General Manager Ray Kao, and Assistant Manager Carissa Hsu. After fruitful discussions with both the professors and the students, both sides have reached a consensus on establishing a Taiwan-India Cricket Team at CCU, possible MoU signing between CCU and TCS and the possibility of jointly setting up the first CCU-TATA Science and Tech Lab in Taiwan.
