Taiwan is surrounded by the sea and is affected by the terrain and extreme climate. The surface water resources are difficult to converge and face problems such as insufficient water sources and mixed water quality. How to effectively purify water quality and recycle reclaimed water is a long-term and important research subject to Taiwan’s research institutions. Therefore, this time we invite Prof. Ruey-An Doong, from “Taiwan-Malaysia Innovation Center for Clean Water and Sustainable Energy”at National Tsing Hua University and Prof. Tsair-Fuh Lin from“Taiwan-Philippines Joint Water Quality Research and Innovation Center” at National Cheng Kung University, and 2 high-level partners of overseas academic and research units that the centers have been cooperating with for many years have discussed the scientific research capabilities of Malaysia, Australia, Singapore and other countries on water issues. The Director General of Department of International Cooperation & Science Education at MOST, Chih-Peng Chu, Ph.D. will give the introduction of the forum. The forum will be hosted by the leader of Science & Technology Division at Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Australia, Suang-Jing Pong, to discuss potential areas of cooperation and solutions.
