The new chapter of Taiwan-Thailand Scientific and Technological Collaboration. Thailand and Taiwan Recently Convened to Explore Collaborative Opportunities in Research and Innovation.

The major activities of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) are concerned with the adoption of the national research policy guided by the present need for research as directed by the Government, the promotion of research work in terms of research grants to both government and private sectors, coordination with national/international organizations on research projects, as well as exchange of research information and researchers.

On the 11th to 12th of January, Professor Dr. Fong-chin Su, the Executive Director of the Taiwan-Thailand Science and Technology Center (TTSTC) and Professor Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, the director of National Cheng Kung University Overseas Hub in Mahidol University, Thailand had a meeting with NRCT which is centered around "The Co-Founding for Research and Innovation between Thailand and Taiwan," brought together key figures from academia and research.

Major topics of the meeting covered academia-industry collaboration, Taiwan's successful global collaborations, and an overview of Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) with focused areas such as semiconductors, energy, smart agriculture, precision medicine, and AI.

Proposals for a Science and Technology Collaboration Agreement (MOA), semiconductor industry collaboration, and the establishment of a Hub of Talent in Thailand were key highlights. The meeting concluded with participants expressing enthusiasm for ongoing dialogue, and anticipating a collaborative future in research and innovation.
